Her voice, soft to my ears
The moonlight whispered
“Sorrow ? I won’t let it
Sting you my child.”
The stars, millions of them
Winked: In the hell of fate
Amidst the ocean of grief
You’ll be safe in our hands.”
I smiled-
And thought I was happy.
He the eternal truth
Had lustrous eyes
With passions crawling in their depths.
But I...
I refused to take his outstretched hand.
It was all on a sudden
The sky shocked me
With her passionate weeping.
It was the flood
And I was no Noah
To save and to be saved.
The moonlight faded,
Sheepishly, the stars hid
In the cloud’s manes.
Even my shadow
Kept slipping away.
The furious truth,
With his once rejected hand
Hit me with all his might.
My blood, merging with my tears
I lay in his powerful
Yet caring arms
Deserted by falsehood
Embraced by truth
The true joys, infinite
Were at last mine.
Drifting to sleep, I smiled-
And knew I was happy.
